Funded Sessions available.

2 Year funded sessions
Parents or carers of two year old’s who meet the criteria can apply for a free early learning place to fund childcare sessions for 15 hours per week flexibly, 38 weeks of the year from the term after their second birthday.
This additional offer is aimed specifically at those families who meet the criteria below:

  • you meet the criteria for Free School Meals
  • you receive working tax credits and have household gross yearly income of no more than £16,190 before tax credits
  • your child has a current statement of Special Education Needs (SEN) or an Education, Health and Care Plan
  • your child attracts Disability Living Allowance
  • your child has left care through special guardianship or an adoption or residency order (including children in care)
 A child born in the period  Will become eligible for a free place
 1st April - 31st August  Start of Autumn term (following child's 2nd birthday)
 1st September - 31st December  Start of Spring term (following child's 2nd birthday)
 1st January - 31st March  Start of Summer term (following child's 2nd birthday)

3 and 4 year old Funded Sessions
Every 3 and 4 year old child is entitled to 15 hours per week of free early years provision, for 38 weeks per year from the term after their third birthday.

This must be taken over a minimum of two days and with a maximum of two childcare providers.

Children are eligible at the start of the term following their third birthday until statutory school age, so a child born between:

 A child born in the period  Will become eligible for a free place
 1st April - 31st August  Autumn term (starts September following child's 3rd birthday)
 1st September - 31st December  Spring term (starts January following child's 3rd birthday)
 1st January - 31st March  Summer term (starts April following child's 3rd birthday)

 

30 hours funded sessions
As many parents/carers may be aware from September 2017 families meeting a specific criteria will be able to claim an additional 15 hours free childcare on top of the existing 15 hours already available to all 3 and 4 year olds.

This additional offer is aimed specifically at those families who meet the criteria below:

  • all parents/carers must be working in the household
  • all parents/carers must be working more than 16 hours a week
  • all parents/carers must be earning the national minimum/living wage
  • all parents/carers earnings must be no more than £100,000 per year.

Kids 4 Us our sessions run from 9.00am – 12.00pm and 12.00pm – 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Our sessions take place in the Nursery setting however when our nursery provision is oversubscribed the Pre-School sessions will take place in the Kids Club building
